Our Mobile Radio Network

The MNT Project has deployed a hand-held Mobile Radio Network in several housing communities.  The Mobile Network is being expanded, including interconnetion with the wireless broadband network, to connect all 40 of our developments throughout the MN District.  This Community Emergency Network works as an emergency backup to traditional communications.

Our Emergency Training

The MNT Project is training our Resident Leaders in Emergency Preparedness and Communications Protocols, including the Incident Command System (ICS).

Our Broadband Kadets


The MNT Project has created a team of Broadband Kadets to monitor and communicate with our resident leaders and First Responders about safety and quality of life issues throughout our District.

The MNT Project, in collaboration with the WHCR Emergency Broadcast Team, has deployed a network of handheld mobile radios among resident leaders in several housing communities.  The Mobile Emergency Network is under expansion, including interconnection with the wireless broadband network, to eventually connect every development in the Manhattan North District.  The mobile radio and wireless broadband networks enables our Resident Leaders to communicate both within their own development, as well as with other Leaders in our District.  The Emergency Radio and Broadband Networks also enable connection with First Responder and other Emergency Services citywide.

The Harlem Emergency and Information Network is an organization that provides emergency communications and preparedness services to the Harlem community.  HEN also works with the MNT Project to train our mobile  operators in emergency communication procedures and protocols.  HEN collaborates with the WHCR Emergency Broadcast Team to operate a mobile radio emergency communications network of emergency responders

The MNB Project is training our team of Emergency Preparedness and Communications experts to monitor and report on safety and quality of life conditions with resident leadership and First Responders throughout our District and the City.
